A message from our managing director, Dr Paul Sewell OBE...

Corporate citizenship is deeply rooted in the Sewell Group culture with the ambition to help create a better society. We set the highest ethical standards for our company, our partners and our supply chain. We are also aware of our broader obligations towards treating our employees with care and respect, getting involved in our local communities and protecting the environment.

Personally, I don’t like the term “CSR” or Corporate Social Responsibility – it sounds like an exotic disease to me – and hence not a lot of fun! Neither do I like big, overarching strategy documents as, in my experience, they don’t always mean realisation and assured delivery - so I am always very cynical about them.

I am, however, pleased with our approach here, as it is much more than most organisations do from a giving back perspective. It is more about the capture of our values and how we actually do the right thing here at Sewell Group - and have done so for many years.
