In 2004, Sewell Group was chosen by Hull’s Primary Care Trust to become its Estates and Development partner. Citycare was formed as the Public Private Partner delivery vehicle to assist in transforming and improving healthcare across the city.
The journey to date has been a huge success for both public and private sector partners with nine schemes delivered and fully operational and a total capital expenditure of circa £50 million.
Sewell Construction has designed and constructed eight of these schemes with work on its ninth, the Wilberforce Centre in Storey Street, Hull, well underway. All projects have been delivered on time, within budget and to exceptionally high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction. Sewell facilities management operates locally based full hard facilities management services and aims to consistently deliver an exemplary quality lifecycle service across all nine sites.
In January 2010, following an extensive market testing exercise, Sewell Group was re-appointed the preferred construction and facilities management partner for Citycare.
The purpose of this area of the website is to summarise the Sewell Group/Citcycare story to date - highlighting the company’s role in making Hull’s Local Improvement Finance Trust programme one of the most successful in the UK.
